Going back trucking with PTL

Yep that is exactly where I went. They took 3 and 1/2 hours to unload me. that's ridiculous.

Sitting at my pickup now in Medley, FL. Have to wait till the seeds arrive I am taking to Mt Pleasant, IA.

 

They are just former employees you could not do the job and blame the company.

 

Sitting at a rest area on I24 in KY. I'm here with my 44K lbs of seeds. Today was GOOD DAY just driving. Have to get up at 0300 to make the last 468 miles.

Delivered my load of seeds in IA. That was one of the hardest backings into a dock i have ever done. I was very proud of myself when done.

When I sent in my empty macro I immediately got my next PP. I only had 3 hrs left to drive. I did make it to the pickup about 90 miles away through the back roads of IA. Took the wrong entrance into the place, I had to turn around ( have I told you guys how much I HATE to do that).

I was 3 hrs early for my pickup and the shipping lady was so nice. She said back into door 10. I asked if I could stay the night in the parking lot out of the way. She said sure, that was a relief.

Got up this morning at 0530 and headed out for my first stop in Lexington, TN at an Autozone DC, my appt was scheduled for 1830 to 2100. I get to the guard shack and he says they all leave at 1700. Called the broker (I hate brokered loads) and they finally come back with yes your appt is tomorrow at 0630 and they gave my company detention pay (wonder if I will see any of it).

So here I sit outside the gate for the night. Well at least I can do that.

 

Got 1/2 the load off early this AM. Took off for the second drop. My appt time is 0100 tomorrow. I'm going to see if I can get it done early. My original appt was for 1700 to 2100. I get there at 1700 and the guard tells me that they don't start second shift until 1900 come back then. I come back at 1915 and they put me into a door and get me finished unloaded in about an hour.

Then I get my next PP picking up at Budweiser in Catersville, GA 120 miles away at 2300. I tell weekend dispatch I can't make it by then I will be out of hours. They message back "well then PU as soon as you can"

I am sitting at a big Petro with lots of open spaces. Was able to get a shower which is always nice.
