You know the lease is risky if bad mpg will break your pulling a reefer you will be heavy it hapens...,,then lets not forget the fuzzy math on this variable lease i believe rutherford tore that appart a few months ago it dosent make financial sence on 3000 miles at 18 cpm thats 540 a week plus 180 fixed holy crapolas batman 720 a week plus your apu payment. Thats 820 a week that my friend is crazytown even with multiple trucks which i own unless i needed a specialized truck with serious high dollar freight i would never sign a note like that where the only way you can make any profit at all is to get crazy high mpg.....i am glad it,s working for you but i think in a way you sugarcoat the risk ....my goal as an o.o is to clear 1.00 a mile after fuel most years i get there that gives me wiggleroom most guys in a l.p structured like this are lucky to clear 40cpm on a 1099 that is far too low to justifty the risk in my opinion

You're obviously using European math. I utilize American math and my numbers work out much better in my favor.

I have been on this thread and other threads out there and if it works for one it may not work for another. I am not a lease driver I am a company driver for a small company in my area. I have been approved for JCT but that does not mean that I am going to them. I do read the positives and negatives on here but if I choose to go the l/p route then that is the decision on me not anyone else.

So if it works for one and not someone else I do not see what all the bickering back and forth is about.

I have seen one person on here post that he has had 3 leases and failed at al of them and he blames it on them. He stated that he is going to take JCT to court for violation of IRS codes or something to that effect but I do not see the people questioning him about why he is trying to put someone else down.

I guess I am looking at it in a different perspective. I was taught that if you wanted it bad enough then you will get it and if you fail at it at least you tried and it makes you stronger.

There is not one company on this forum that gets any "red carpet treatment" from the staff here, if you see problems that you think we may not be aware of please click on the little triangle and report it, with the 1000's of threads on here it is impossible for us to read each and every post.

We don't lock/cleanup threads to maintain a positive or negative image of any company, threads are typically locked to put an end to bickering and or recruiting.

We're not going to delete your post, or ban you for stating your opinion, you did it with respect. This forum is 100% driver focused, we are committed to doing what we can to ensure that drivers get as honest of responses on companies, trucks, etc. as is possible. If the owner of this site was not focused on this, there would be ads all over the place, as long as you are logged in here, you will not see one single ad.

Again, if you see recruiting in any of these threads, do yourself and your fellow drivers a favor and report those threads/posts. We have a zero tolerance policy on this and offenders will be permanently banned for violating it. http://www.thetruckersreport.com/tr...475-recruiting-on-ttr-our-policy-defined.html

Bigdad once again what's the risk? It's a wall away lease. If you feel you can't make it, turn in the trick whereas if you bought your truck and failed then you're sick with a truck.

It is what you make of it. Some drivers will do very well for themselves and some will fall on their face. Which category you fit in to has a lot to do with YOU and the decisions YOU make.

Well me personally? I know better than to jump into a lease/loan without having plenty of money for repairs.

Absolutely not!! I'm sure for some it is.....but then again, not everybody can manage a business. Plenty of successful and profitable folks at JCT.
