I live in az and got a ticket for 21 over. With that ticket, and me putting that ticket on my applications, I had no problems. In az, 21 over is a criminal offense, jailable offense. It is listed as a misdemeanor on my record. I've applied at 2 companies and was hired by both companies. Neither asked twice about it.
is 16 over the same as wreckless driving?

I have been too busy to post lately, but I will give an update on my situation. I ended up doing nothing about the ticket. It took a while but I found a job that I consider pretty good. Im driving a straight truck for now doing local deliveries. Home every night, off every weekend, work about 50 hours a week. $18 an hour plus time and a half after 40 hours and decent health insurance
-
sounds like it worked out pretty well for you. congrats
-
So you wound up with a job paying you about $45,000 or more a year home every night and off weekends and probably holidays as well. Actually it sounds like you did better than most OTR jobs would have been. What are you delivering? Is it very labor intensive like beverage delivery? That job takes a strong back and knees. Congrats on the job sounds like a good one.

Thank you guys. I deliver paint, sometimes I have to load/unload 5 gallon buckets by hand, but I mostly use a pallet jack and liftgate so it is not bad.
-
That doesn't sound too bad at all and better than the beverage delivery type stuff. That's an advantage of being in a major metro area. There are jobs like that around, in my area of rural SW WI not so much.

Yea in Chicago there are more opportunities. But driving the city is not fun, luckily I, drive in the suburbs 75% of the time

That sucks. I haven't driven a sleeper yet, biggest I have ever driven is a daycab with a 48 foot trailer. Mostly just a 22 ft straight truck now. Where are you at Rockford?
