Just got a call from Werner - repairs are approved. I might be on my way tomorrow. Hopefully.

Just read through the whole thread, and wow, some people lol. I was starting to think that maybe you actually drove for Dinomite, or worse yet messed up HIS truck.

It's a good thing you didn't post this and then start another thread on if Werner did hair drug testing. I think the forum might have broken then haha.

Anyway, I'll be curious to see how Werner handles the situation in terms of your future employment. Did you happen to pay a performance bond when you started? If so, they could probably take some moolah out of that sucker if they kept you on. Hell they'd take some out if they fired you too.

No doubt you probably learned your lesson. #### happens.

I've been following the Epic of Tonakis for a few days now. His mistake is what it is and I'm sure Werner has seen stupider.

Anyhow, I thought this funny, my company sent out in its weekly Maintenance Tips:

The DEF tank on your tractor will have a blue cap clearly marked Diesel Exhaust Fluid....
I won't enter the rest of the message but in a nutshell, it said to not put DEF in with the fuel but no mention of the other way around. So, in Tonakis's defense, he probably was told the same, 'no DEF in the fuel' but was silent about the opposite.

I stopped bothering with Dinomite's comments pretty much after his first one.

Yes, about the bond. They withhold $10 from each paycheck until that fund reaches $400, which obviously will not cover anything if they decide to tap into it.

    Absolutely, lesson learned.

There'll be a bit of time spent on the DEF tank, lines, and injector, since diesel is a fuel oil, and will leave a residue... it takes more than a simple flush to get rid of it, and if it isn't all gotten rid of, then the engine will continue to remain in derate mode.
On top of that, the SCR has to be replaced.

    tonakis Thanks this.

And we can only "guess" why they send such messages, right? :)

Thus, the 13 labor hours, I am guessing, and surely an extensive test drive after that.

That's good but don't get your hopes too high leaving tomorrow.
