Wonder how much longer it'll be before they propose mandating 62 mph trucks for everyone?

lets not forget sleep monitoring equipment, to make uncle sam confident that you have been indeed in the sleeper, sleeping

you MUST get your rest and be able to prove it, or else you are an outlaw

Accidents will increase with this mandate, mark my words.

Of course the FMCSA will never show that statistic, and as always will make their own study in their favor.

I almost get ran into every week by some E- Log clown running against his clock. It will be worst when this happens. The last part of the original post is all it's about, making it easier on law enforcement.

Nope e logs will prove to fmcsa that we need a max of 8 hours a day and a break every two hours .,,,,plus a move to hourly pay and union membership....
To fight the ever increasing bmi your elog will be tethered to a treadmill your e log will not allow you to drive until you demonstrate 1 hour walking after 8 hours hooked to a cpap also monitered by the elog
Imagine how safe we will be
Lot lizard knocks on door sorry no dice cant interupt cpap time they only gave me 8 daysto get from dallas to la

I see a lot more work zone accidents occurring. We already can't get these ########## to slow down for a work zone as is. One more reason I'm thankful to be out of that industry.

Ah now wouldn't *that* be poetic justice for the trucking CEO's who campaigned for elogs to "level the playing field" ! Right after they get rid of those pesky little trucking outfits, the teamsters move in

they dont have to worry about the teamsters or any other union

drivers today would rather work for 30cpm and free "on duty, not driving" benefits to the company than join any union

Oh I know, ezx, after 62mph speed limiters and elogs, all you'd have left would be eunuchs. just a funny thought is all.
