Headed to Pembroke, NH. Loads at 4 pm, drop/hook. I'm gonna ease my way in around 5-6. Then Monday morning delivery and then headed to Vermont to go to Wisconsin.

Little bit north of my childhood stomping grounds. Went to a private school in Concord for a few years.

Sometimes I miss it a lot.

I love New England and all it's quirks. The entire northeast is one of the best places on earth, real people, great food and (most people don't know this) but awesome scenery. There are some amazing places of the beaten path of New York, Vermont and Maine. Hell, there's places in New Jersey that you'd never believe existed there.

Well familiar with all of it. Lived in NH for 15 years (until '07 when I got this really great (NOT!!!!) idea to move to Alabama) and have always had a love to travel.

2 places to park near enough there in case you're not aware - the Alltown on 3A, and if you keep going north on 3A into Concord, just past the Grappone car dealerships, there is an Irving on the left.

My parents bought 2 cars at Grappone over the years. Small world, isn't it?

Yup! I moved down south for a minute. Didn't take me long to realize A) I made a mistake B) I didn't belong and C) they didn't want me there. I went looking for that "Southern Hospitality" I heard so much about and got a lot of angry bitter people that were mad at the world. Not saying the entire south is like that, but that's all it took for me to get the hell out.

I got stuck there for 5 years. It took getting evicted from an apartment and playing refugee for a couple months with a friend in Illinois to get me the hell out of there. I lived in Florence, AL. Fairly isolated. Definitely one of the biggest mistakes I've ever made.

And I've since determined that if you want real, genuine hospitality, head for the Midwest...

Ive lived in Florida for 9 years and havent seen any hospitality all these southerners claim. I was born and raised and Michigan and we are lightyears ahead of the south in hospitality.

My parents and grandparents are from Wilton, NH, and I intend to visit their final resting spots in one of the local cemeteries this summer. I, too, am drawn back, even though I haven't been there in 50 years.
