THE ADVENTURES CONTINUE - DFO gets a truck and hops on Schneider's IC Choice Program

Unfortunately don't want to ditch the load, I'd rather wait it out and be moving than sitting for the weekend making no money. Slim pickings on the load board during the weekends so there's a good chance I'd lose out by trying to run from this load.

 

Well I didn't start my 14 until around 1500 today, so hell lets hope I'm loaded by 0300, we'll have bigger problems then that if I'm not LOL.

If for some reason it starts getting close to the end of my 14 I'll fight to just drop the trailer, bobtail to the OC and come pick it back up tomorrow. I'm only about 15 miles from the OC.

 

After 6 hours detention starts kicking in.

Nope not Lance. But not gonna throw the name out there until after I've delivered. Never know who else is reading on here. Will definately post it up so others know to avoid it though. From talking to the other IC sounds like its a regular occurrence at this customer, and not just at this location.

 

Yeah I'm guessing that's what will end up happening. I was planning to be in Carlisle around 0200, lol. Looks like I'll be leaving here at that time assuming I'm actually loaded by then. Unfortunately by then I'll probably be worn out, so I don't really know what I'm gonna do yet. Since I started my day so late for the late pickup, I'm wide awake and there is no way I could get any sleep now even if I tried. I may be better off just staying for longer than my 10, trying to get some sleep and leaving in the morning, vs starting a fresh 10, running 100 miles then getting really tired and having to stop and sleep for another 10 because I'm tired.

Just sent another message in with updates. Man this sucks.

I just went down to the office and they're all gone. So much for asking if I could just bobtail to the OC and pick this up tomorrow.
