I remember the first time I hauled one of those, they are so freakin tipsy! When I pulled into the place I was delivering to I had to turn pretty tight like that, talk about pucker effect going on! That guy looks like he doesn't have enough securement though. IIRC I used 10 chains binders and hooks on mine. Any place you could secure it from had a source of securement on it. The guys at the dealer that I delivered to laughed about it.

Rob I followed a guy with a load strapped just like that right through the Oregon scale on 84. They didn't even stop him on the scale

The strap load was probably legal in their eyes. Thus no stop.

Big nice house on wheels truck. Nice 48' flat. Plenty of chain hanging in the rack

That really troubles me... how can ANYONE drive down the highway believing this is safe?!

I was curious who they were so I looked it up and it brought me to an ATS page. I still don't get that. Like bigdubber said, how can anybody think that is safe??? Even if it is legal which I have no clue if it is, how can one think its safe??? I mean its kind of like people who pick up super thin sheet steel, throw a couple straps over it and call it good! I don't want my family anywhere near that truck on the road!!!
