Dont u haul alot of light and power only most times? Real world trucking hauling 80k i seriously doubt your mileage would be that. Its great u get that but i dont think ur stats are relevent at all to us that pull 80k 50-75% of the time. Just saying

Does anyone know the cost to Microblue a cummins engine??
Also, what about wheel bearings, and transmission.
Thanks -
I never have understood why the heaviest legal loads are also the cheapest rates with the lowest gross profit margins after fuel expenses and also is a lot higher maintenance cost because of all that weight.
I just started a roundtrip dedicated run back in February that I filled up today at just over 10 mpg with my fuel cost to gross revenue at 20.5% that around half of what that cheap heavy freight would be. I like for the truck to pay me a lot more than I pay for fuel for it.

Dice1, did you just do the tractor or did you do the trailer as well?
as for cheap freight, it's beyond me why guys would load so heavy for so cheap. I'm not anti-weight but the pay scale def needs to reflect in the rate. -
The heavy legal freight doesn`t pay by the scales is a sad fact. Why tear up the equipment for a lower rate? But the Swifts, JB Hunts, Schneiders, Covenents that haul this heavy cheap freight have the $0.30/ mile cheap labor too. I not going to try to compete with that. -
Look at Microbluebearings.com for some pricing.

My heavy freight does pay good, i dont do cheap stuff, but im hauling different freight than u guys, but thats not what i was trying to say or start in this thread, Im saying id bet a decent portion of your good mileage is related to light weight not the microblue. Even tho i do believe the microblue is legit from what ive read about.
so dice, for all us heavy haulers that are thinking of doin some microblue, what mpg u get when u have hauled 80k bucking wind, hills ect? -
Real World Trucking is not about the weight you pull!
It is about making the most profit with fewest amount of cost driving the fewest miles!
