This thread only has a few drivers posting about how great the miles are at Millis. Most drivers at Millis don't feel this way. I'm just the only one to finally say it. In your first year you get great miles, but after that your pay goes up your miles go down. And im not a angry driver or a driver that complains or turns down a load. I worked at Millis for 2.5 years and trainer for 1.5 of those years. Miles.even slow down after you max training pay. Millis is a great place to start, but thats about it. Stop any drivers you see and ask them or inbox them here, but then you will get the truth. Millis is turning into a training company, pushing out 15 students a week. Each and every week. When I started 6 was considered a huge class.
slim shady Thanks this. -
I just picked up a student from a class of six. Where are the missing 9 students?
Ga Dawg141 Thanks this. -
I love how everyone says "or turns down a load" were forced dispatch which to me means shut up and ride. So we don't even have the option of turning down freight and if I were a dispatcher for a driver that constantly moaned about where he was running I'd sit him still. Period. The guys moaning about the NorthEast, bad miles, or sitting are probably the same ones that don't deliver freight early, don't drop loads on the yards early, don't run nights. Are consistently late for appointments. I'm preplanned 90% of the time before I deliver a load and nearly every weekend. Doing nothing special except keeping my mouth shut and doing my job and being on time 100% of the time. Work out here, chill at home not vice versa.
Hegemeister, eurotrash, sapamil and 2 others Thank this. -
Playamwj12, how long have u worked for millis? im sure you are in your first year because I said the same things you are saying when I was new too.And yes people do turn down some loads because maybe u have to drive all night or 8 hours straight with no breaks to make apt time( both of which I could always do)and as far as me and driving I pushed each load as fast and as far as I could. And dlr early as possible. Ask anybody I trained. I love driving and take it very serious. Im up early even if I dont have a load. i cant wait to read your your posts in a another year or so. I'm now working for a major company where you don't have to beg for loads.

Only schools that might be short are either Wisconsin or Texas - only because they cant fill.the classes. So which school did u pick up from?
-
Almost 2 years here. Picked my student up in Cartersville not Wisconsin or Texas.
-
You must not be around much because that's the first class in cville under 10 in over a year. Also how many students have you trained?
-
This is my first. Could care less where there out of or if they have cdls. Doing it to train not for a monetary benefit. After training and driving in the army for years it something that fits me well.
sapamil Thanks this.
