I drove by a late model Ryder "shaker" tractor with what looked like 3" mailbox letters on the DEF tank stating DEF ONLY and was wondering if someone at Ryder had read this thread lol :) Those suckers took up the whole tank! Wanted to snap a photo but was not quick enough (were going down the highway at 72 mph). Anyway, hope all works out well for you in the long run tonakis!

I would think Wiener could have the truck towed to one of their facilities and repaired there for a lot less than 6 grand!

Good luck tonakis, I am surprised, like everyone else, that the nozzle fit in the def tank bole, unless it went over top of it, I dunno, I'm just a driver. Good luck man.

First.. I hope It works out good for you... second you may wanna drop that "not taught excuse"... you will encounter many many more things that you were not taugbt... being assigned a truck with DEF and not getting any information on it was just irresponsible... I know there were things about mh assigned truck that I was unfamiliar with.. so I had the mechanics go over it with me.. I know out on tne road I encounter unfamiliar un taught situations and things all tne time... it is my responsibility to find answers or figure it out without damaging the truck, trailer, load or what ever...

Wait wait wait... if you are with werner then you have no excuses.. they go ovr kt in orientation, they ahve computer modules on it, there is an informative sheet in your registration book, there are signs posted all over the terminals about it... ####, I never wanted to know so much about DEF... theh even send qualcomms on it...

Just like the NO U TURNS.. they stress do not put diesel in the DEF tank, and do not put DEF in the fuel tank..

Well first of all I'm not with wiener and I'm not making excuses. I'm just saying that if I were in charge of approving repairs I'd try to save the company some money by towing the vehicle to the nearest wiener facility and fix it there. 6 grand is a lot of money to spend on a repair. Especially if it can be done in house cheaper.

Second, I would never force a liquid into a tank it doesn't belong especially if the nozzle is bigger than the hole on the tank.

If everything in this thread is true I'd be surprised if he/she didn't get fired.
