Don't you just love it when people want to play games with a truck? I seems that they just don't want to be behind one and the fact is that they aren't going to go faster than you they just can't stand to be behind a truck.

Basically, the decent options are Verizon network or Sprint network. Millinecom offers a hotspot plan that uses Verizon's network. It does have a 20GB monthly data cap. Coverage is gonna be better with Verizon.
I use BMI.net's (I transferred to them after Millinecom had a falling out with Sprint) unlimited plan (soft-cap nastygram email if you use of 30GB) which uses Sprint's network. Sprint's coverage is not as great as Verizon's, but I make it work well with the following setup:
I use a Franklin U770 tri-mode usb modem which allows me to use 3G/4G WiMAX (still in use in Charlotte!) and 4g LTE (most other major cities have this) coverage. I also have a tri-mode antenna that will amplify any of those services that I connect to the modem - this is the key to making Sprint work almost everywhere I go. Its not always the fastest but I can get on the load board, etc., 95% of the places I go. On the off-chance that I don't get coverage, I have a Sprint cell phone which I rooted so I can tether through it without having to pay for Sprint's tethering service. I also have an unlimited data plan with my Cell phone with Sprint, and that includes roaming. I don't push my luck with data roaming, but it is there in a pinch if I really need to get on the load board in a bad spot, etc.
I run mainly the east and this keeps me covered wherever I am. No clue how it works midwest and west. But the antenna for the modem is key. This is the one I use - http://3gstore.com/product/3047_3g4g-full-band-outdoor-omni-antenna.html
I still don't have it mounted outside the truck yet, set it up in a cubby above the drivers area in the cab at night, works great, but will probably get me a little more coverage if I mount it outside. I might try mounting it to my Qualcomm bracket.MThunter Thanks this. -

Does the load board use up a lot of data?
