When will you be getting into Flag, tow?? Probably going to be there myself....early afternoon...

 

I noticed the DQ's at rest areas and truck stops seem to have very limited hours. I guess they don't realize that folks that drive into those places can have weird ice cream desires at all times of the day or year.

 

Around 8 or 9 pm

I am not making money like you guys are.
I am paid every other week. My first payweek take home was 910. My second and third week I got Friday. Still having issues getting onto the company site to check my stub, but net was 1597. Lower than I expected, but I had to take a short day to get a car purchase taken care of last week, so it kind of lowered down my money for the week. The dispatcher has a goal given by management to keep every drivers income as close to equal as possible. It is a 6 day a week work week, home every day. But it is allot of work. Should end up with a net around 1750 every other week.
Not stellar, But home every day and getting in another shape that is not round. And the benefits are good. So we shall see how it goes in the long haul. The biggest issue is that it is a Florida company, they check pay regularly to be sure they are up with the average. But they are in Florida where the average is lower than anywhere in the nation.
And it is my guess they are not checking other private fleets or LTL. Which is closest to what we are doing.
Still not a bad job, just allot more physical work than I have done in years.

 

Got that load delivered and even got my shower and DQ Fix in, So hope I can make that fix last for the next week or so. For now I told them I wanted the rest of the night off and I will be ready for pp in the am. Tonight I gonna pop popcorn and watch a movie.......

 

Chrome, the deal you have don't sound too bad from the back of a sleeper doing a reset.

I would give up a significant chunk of income to be home every night.
Heck just not having to find a parking spot to sleep every night has it's appeal.

Exactly.. Where sure not out here for our health.... I want to sit around I'll sit around at home not out on the road.. We're out here for one reason only like you say we're out here to make money...
