Yeah. But even with trip planning un-expected events such as blowout, detention, and traffic can cause you to run out of hours with no place to park.

Yup, those were the few times when I ended up parking on an on or off ramp. And that was with good trip planning, sometimes ##### just happens lol.

ya that gets me a lot in Denver, I 25 has no spots, all the places that can fit you are filled by 5pm, and on I 70 running the passes in winter, only 4 spots to stop and their all takin as soon as the chain law comes up, I plan as much as I can but in citys its no use.

Is it still legal to park on on and off ramps. I thought I read it was not legal but not sure.

I just thought if I go trucking I would probably run as long and hard as I could but would hate to not find parking.

It would seem if you have to stop early for parking you would be losing money. I think a lot of people I have seen on video get an early start so they can get better parking spots. Maybe head out 4-5 AM if it goes along with your delivery.

You can trip plan all you want, but there are times / situations, that are beyond your control. Ie: road closed do to a wreck shipper/ receiver keeps you longer than the hours one has.

Trip plan...but what I always do is adjust as my day goes...if I'm delayed, I look at other options so I don't run into that situation...

Trip planning is not a one time deal, you need to adjust re-plan at times.
