    HI All

It gets tiring driving 10 hour days everyday. Is there any other skills a driver can pick up that would increase pay and home time?
Is there any oil drilling specific equipment that a person can learn on their own and make big bucks? I know I could get training to operated bull dozers and other earth moving equipment but that doesn't interest me much. Any other ideas?

    thanks

Food service trucking companies; many home every day and some home 2-3-4 nights a week. Many of those drivers make $55K - $70K and some higher. There are dozens of those companies.

    Sysco
    US Foods
    Golden State Foods
    Lily
    Blue Line Food Service
    Cardinal Logistics

    and many more.

Also tanker work hauling fuel locally or dry bulk tankers hauling cement/flyash to regional cement ready mix plants and construction sites. I've done the dry bulk cement/flyash; lazy mans work, but home every day.

You can deliver soda. Or beer. Best part? These jobs are everywhere? ##### part? Humping cases of soda in all weather conditions. But your home every night and get decent pay for the most part. $850-1000 a week more if you work for Pepsi in *most* locations.

A trucking seminar? Why pay for that when you can get that for free at a truck stop diner? Lol

you think shippers, receivers, four wheelers on the road are A-holes wait till you get into food service. gotta get the truck in tight places often times blocking in some pissed off soccer mom in a van. customers are usually not real happy to see you because that means they have to work. I started in food service and have delivered everything from milk to bread. I was also physically fit and in my 20s, it is no gravy train did it almost 9 yrs never again.
