Late at night a CB is nice to have to let the other truckers know what kind of underwear I am wearing or not. Since women are trucking more and more these days, I find that they are the most interested. And I am sure you would all be interested in just how pretty my feet are. I could have been a foot model had I not done that whole Vietnam thing. Rice patties ruined my little toe nail.

I have a good CB.. I dont have a t.v. I dont want to have enough down time to watch t.v.

The CB. Is a tool of tne trade... while some drivers dont have or use them.. they dont realize the tool they dont have..

To each their own I suppose. While there is a ton of mindless chanter on the c.b. that can be said for every truck stop and rest area also. But we still use it.. its a tool and for some of us its a hobby. Like any hobby or workplace there's always ones that try to screw it up for everyone else. If you don't run one.. so be it. I know its has saved my butt more than I care to think about and saved from sitting in a pileup for hours cause I was able to detour well before the accident. All the while hearing ppl say " what's going on up there" while I'm cruising the back roads around ya lol.

Same here. I get tired of "show me your boobies" or the mindless charter about stuff they Hansard somewhere else or the constant racism/sexism/homophobia/stupidity. I rarely turn it on anymore because of straight up ignorance.

Oh and forget about it if a woman keys up. Every toothless redneck with a mic will step over the next one to talk to the poor girl trying to get info, and they're usually coming at them with pick up lines.

What I do find comical is the CB voices that drivers do.. why dont they just use their regular voice...

I got one and I was disappointed that's no one was on it. I get lonely driving a truck and if it wasn't for satellite radio I would go stir crazy.

Very funny. I notice that, and also when people come out to the ranch I work on they tend to change the way they talk. I work with a couple guys that speak very poor english. I catch myself talking with the an accent and broken english.
