Well after about 5 hours I finally got loaded and out of that shipper. Another one for the DO NOT RETURN list. I got bored and reorganized my truck a little bit but it still has a long way to go. Word has it that chicknwings kids, armed with a bottle of Armor-All, a few rags and the enticement of a couple 20 dollar bills will have the interior of a truck looking brand new. CW, thanks for BSing on the phone with me while I sat there all day today, sure made it go by a lot faster. Just wish I could have been there to enjoy some of that grilled chicken and get my truck all shined up LOL.

I had to call in to support shift and have them remove my shorty pallet load that paid really well, all thanks to the delays from this shipper. However, its not a HUGE deal I guess because I can still keep my other loads, but it sucks to lose out on $300 of revenue that I could have made with such a quick trip. Oh well, it is what it is.

Well, gonna get some sleep and sleep in tomorrow because I have a 24 hour drop and all the time in the world since the load I mentioned above got removed.

    chicknwing Thanks this.

The BBQ chicken was really good. The family tore it up. I was already tore up, lol, I did not mean to drink the whole fifth of vodka...On the bright side, I managed to string together a few loads that are light and not many miles. I woke up kind of freaking out that I booked loads while I was impaired, but looking at them this morning, I did a good job....

DFO, I see you run the same lanes I run. You stay around the OC's, that way you can have a place to park. Also, there is always freight around the OC's. I been running down south the last couple of months. I got jam when I was in MS, so I had to take a load to Md, paid very well and light.

I'm with ya RB I'll be at Atlanta tonight , Charlotte tomorrow and Carlisle on the 29th. At Charlotte now getting a tire or 2 replaced on the trailer. 2 pickups down, 1 more to go then off to Atlanta.

Finally got out of Charlotte with 2 new tires on the trailer, sitting at my last stop getting loaded now. I'd do this run again, stops have all been relatively quick (first one took about 2 hours but I hadn't started my clock yet, so whatever), and I just get to drive for a bit and then relax for a bit. Not a bad way to spend a day. Hopefully traffic will have quieted way down by the time I make it to the Atlanta OC tonight.

Just delivered to Kohls in Macon GA. Of course, no empties. So waiting for a trailer search now. Great, bobtailing in the rain, my favorite.

Oh you've got to be kidding me. Just looked at the tasks for the delivery in York at C&S. Driver hand unload. First time I have EVER seen this. Hell I've never unloaded a trailer before. Looked at the load board and sure enough $120 for driver hand unload. This is gonna be fun.

And after you hand unload do you have to wait for ever for "someone" to check the freight in..?

I would be willing to bet you do. Do you just unload with a pallet jack to the area of the dock behind the trailer? Like I said never done it before.

First trailer search turned up nothing. Wasted 2hours of my day so far with this trailer search.
