This is the bright future all of us have to look forward to now that the new "emissions motors" are replacing the older trucks by the hundreds . . . . :biggrin_25511:

I broke down yesterday. Took my truck to KW Little Rock AR. Truck has parts that need to be ordered. Thought I was going to get a room. No I'm in a Ryder truck an hour away from drop off. 500 plus miles away. Just saying. Something is fishy my friend and trucking companies are known to stick it to drivers, and I guess since they can't damage a DAC report. They will find enjoyment in other ways. I do hope he keeps his job after 2 weeks in a sleezy hotel. I'm sure with all the languages he can read. He won't have a problem reading the instructions that they have with pictures on the fuel island.

If I was the service manager at a dealership, and a company asked me to find a way to fire one of their drivers... I'd tell them to get bent and do their own dirty work

Werner would never tell any shop no rush. They want it done. Some places are extremely slow.Took them a week just to look at the trk.Once they do get the parts I have a feeling its going to take a lot longer then 13 hrs.

You could be out rolling and earning money had you put in a little effort, obviously you have access to on the internet and this Informative site.. having been assigned a truck you could of asked about it here .. intead of having to post your tell of woes...

Ii hope you accept the accountability for and understand what you neglected to do and is why you are in the situation you are.. I also hope you learn from it.. and not just how to fuel your truck.. but also about responsibility and work ethics...

What do you mean when you say "little effort", "internet" and "this informative site"?

Are you implying that I should have gone to a different company and not wait? I don't see a solution in your post.

You should of posted the question on how to fuel a truck with DEF...
I know the others are more willing to buy into your sad story of woes.. but, being assing a DEF truck jt was your responsibility to learn how to fuel it..

I took my 12 year old niece out with me.. and seeing all the signs for DEF at truck stops she asked what is DEF... so my 12 year old niece would not of made the "mistake" you made...

I find it hard to believe that during your whole 275 hours with your trainer you never once fuel at a truck where DEF was available.. if you fuel at a pump wnere DEF is available you have to press "skip" when tbe screen asks if yoh want DEF..

You could of and clearly should of called the shop or fuel desk which is available 24 hours a day 7 days a week and told them.. "This is the first time I have fueld a truck wirh DEF and I dont know how to do it" they would of talked you through it... maybe even sent someone out to help you.. bit tne would of certainly told you DO NOT put diesel in the DEF tank..

If it has been 12 days.. there is somehing fishy here.. when it was going to take 3 days to put a starter in my truck cause the shop was booked.. they put me in a loaner truck... and I know that anotner driver who truck was at a petetbilt shop.. they rented him a car to get from the petetbilt shop to the terminal so theh could get him in a loaner truck .. so something is fishy here... dont think we are getting all of the story.

He made a silly mistake, he knows it. It isn't like he rolled a truck or totaled a four wheeler while making a right turn. You're in a foreign country at the fuel pumps. Do you know what's what here without googling it?
