What might this magical clause be?

Crap happens. Anybody knows this. And yes, sometimes it is truly UN-avoidable and your clock runs out due to an unforeseen 2.5 hour delay where you were simply no longer in control of the situation. Are you supposed to take a 10 on the shoulder or at a toll booth?

Why would they allow an emergency weather delay clause and not one for a blocked roadway due to an accident or a shipper that held you 5 hours waiting on product and refused to allow you to remain on premise?

Dont be daft. All you have to do is ask the loudest guy in the professional drivers section of any Petro/TA restaurant, he's sure to have it.

It allows you to "legally" violate a handful of FMCSA regs in the name of safety.

    o, this is great

i am at this hole-in-the wall Shell truckstop, not many places to park, but all of these eloggers have just got empty and are ......................"out of hours" and there is no where else to go

so they are parking wherever they can, and its a mess

this is what you guys want?

i know, i know, they are guilty of improper trip planning, they should have told the receiver to unload the truck a few hours ago
