Your right!! They need paper logs! That way when they cheat and cause an accident and end up in jail for life they will know they didn't block your view for the night! Gawd your posts contain so much good advice. Not.

I am still unable to grasp the special quality of paper logs that makes all these problems being attributed to E-logs avoidable. If you are running out of hours how does a paper log create more time? How does a paper log allow you to drive further than an E-log? How does a paper log prevent the TS from becoming over crowded?

These must be some super special paper logs with mystical powers...I sure hope I get one of these magic logs.

There are things that can be done with paper that cannot be done with an ELOG. As the old saying goes, if you have to ask..........

What's sad is that the vast majority of the new folks in this industry don't realize what a sham ELOG's really are, but seeing the quality of the drivers that the mega carriers are running thru they're training mills, it's no surprise that they use ELOG's.

How exactly is a technological advance a sham, what is the false pretense? How does the use of E-logs reflect or relate to the "quality of the drivers the mega carriers are running thru their training mills"? Is this non-sequitur really necessary?

I ask this without any of the tone from my post #143...what should have been obvious sarcasm apparently eluded you.

I wonder....Can you "Roll-Over" your time on ELOGs?.....

A lot of drivers here think you have to automatically reset after your "70" or 8 days are up.....

Cause they LIED on the paper logs. That's why alot of the old supertruckers whined and cried and complained about elogs, they couldn't lie on their logs anymore. It was not uncommon for a driver to have two or even three sets of logbooks when they did paper logs.
