What a workout in reading ; great stuff and i feel more prepared to discuss my future with my family . being a good safe reliable driver with a postitve attitude will take me far. All of post good / bad gave me a display of how to go about solving my issue .
You see yall i tried college ( felt like the choice i made was because I went thru the requirements and i felt captive to do it ) my first job after college i was happy to work to be able to build a life but slowly and surely that joy that passion turn into distaste and stress. To being unhappy with minimum wage and lack of growth at that job . felt relif when Iturn in my resignation ( according to my former company I was let go fired ) but felt good because now I can truly go after my dream.

Minimum wages couldnt help me achieved what I want out of life and my job i had wasn't befitting to me or my future .

    mje Thanks this.

Really....you are sitting in the lap of luxury, get up when you want, play games all day long, maybe even get an allowance, and have the whole basement to yourself, no bills, you have your own cook, chauffeur, why would anyone want to give that up especially at 30 something.

Seems to me if one is worried about breaking the news to ones family that your family would much prefer you to occupy the basement, then to venture out on ones own....you living the life that they show on tv.....and you wanna give it up for what reason?

@ Lowa :well yea it may be the " life " but after while that good life become dull become lacklustre and routine. Sure stay up all night and so on very soon its get old . for me i have reach that point and truth be told I miss work but I rather have a job I love rather than do something i got to do cuz of obligations.

Well be prepared for more upsets, and unsettling news when it comes to trucking, because you will soon wish you were back doing what you were doing and minimum wages you'll be happy about. Out here its a dog eat dog world, stress every day, never home (or it just seems that way) messed up hours, and I saved the best part for last most times you will make below minimum wage.

i wouldn't send my worst enemy into trucking, ok.....I did a couple times and told them to head for swift....but....it's a real bag buster out here at times and then you will wake up and said man I am glad it was just a dream.....oh the good ole basement....is that breakfast I smell

My dad is a driver, he always was dead set against me following in his steps. The easiest way to tell him is I just pulled up in the driveway in the rig.

LOL I would recommend CR England to my worst enemy. I heard the lease plan is a very lucrative opportunity.

Mall security guards need a special license also. It's classified as unskilled labor due to many things, mainly the low training time. It takes what? 6 to 8 weeks for swift to push a new driver from showing up at class to being a solo operator? By comparison a guy spends up to six years as a journey man before being able to claim to be a carpenter.
