That sounds like the crap they love to pull. I always send a message before, or right when I arrive asking them to please check with planner to see if I am supposed to get another load, or if I can DH home.

 

Anytime we've taken hometime when we send in our empty message we put N for do u want to board so thats what we put, we then get a message why didnt you board,call to tell them we're on hometime dont want to board, she tells us no ur suppose to board so we can dh you back here. IDK I just wants to be done with this load

 

I hear you! They really need to synergize that part of planning. They need to realize when 5pm comes around they don't wait for a message from their supervisor telling them whether or not they can go home...

 

Yup... Im not one of their little company employees who does everything they say for that simple fact of what you said.
I don't let them push me around and I never will.

 

Anyone ever go to Nogales from SLC? I'm trying to decide if I want to add 50 extra miles to dispatch and go through Vegas, or if I just wanna take u.s. 89 through Flagstaff.

 

Morning started good .... 34F and snow falling , wind blowing west 35+ mph ...this wasn't on the forcast last night !

so I go to fuel pumps to go get my coffee ... Wind VS Drivers Door = wind won ....bent hinges
door won't shut ... Remedy to dealer in Denver ...seat belt out door thru window ...window down at 55mph ....no need to coffee ...chilly ride .... Tight fit ...guess I need to lose a few pounds !

Unless your highlight is on day 8 or better ...plan on a load first ... specially in a area like Joplin which is alway short trucks ... and that locals dispatch area ... Thank them when you get in

 

Oh and these prison deliverys ...plan suk

Got a pre plan back to Sterling CO after the 2nd stop...think that will be erased by dealer visit
