My Dezl 760 has been in use for about four weeks now, and I have mixed reviews. Freezing up, or black screen of death gave me a scare a few times. This problem seems to come and go.

I've also had two instances where new roads were not recognized, but in Garmin's defense I'm thinking it just takes time for new highways to be added to the map. One was US33 in Kentucky and the other was in Auburn, AL.

Sometimes I get just a blatantly incorrect directive to turn one way when the obvious way to turn is the other. I can see this happening occasionally, but it has happened more than just a few times. This, a reminder that you can't trust it all of the time.

Soon I'll be adding Copilot to my armory of navigational aids, and hopefully I will find it more reliable.

I was stumped when I tried adding a weather feature to the Dezl. I thought I read that this was available by subscription but I've not been successful finding it.
Overall I love the features, Lane direction, weigh stations, speed limit change and approaching state borders are all nice to know.

Mine had the lockup problems at first also. Come to find out, it came with being slightly out of date. Had to go online and update it, and this seemed to fix the problems. Also the update takes a long time to down load because it puts a complete new map in.
The weather feature uses bluetooth from your phone which I'm not impressed with that feature.

Overall I still think it's the best truck gps out.

I think I would rule out the Cobra. Ideally, if you can get to a large terminal with a number of drivers hanging around, you can probably find an owner of either of the other 2. Ask them if they can show you their favorite features and compare the 2. I ran the big RM for 2 months and wasn't crazy about it and got the big Garmin and was for me, I liked the Garmin much better.

Plus, the RM rarely provided routing that matched the company's routing (and fuel) solution for whatever reason and the company system routing was the more sensible option then what the RM wanted to provide, more often then not. The Garmin, matches almost every time. Plus the Garmin has built in traffic (where there is an available FM station that carries the data), although it is often 10-25 minutes behind live app Google traffic. But, it will still alert you to a potential issue sometimes when you're not expecting issues such as an accident and you can call up Google Maps on your smartphone and verify.

I really love my Garmin Dezl 760. A thought to add on to it, better voice command......... it is okay, but some of the suggestions it gives me when i am trying to get to a destination have made me spit out and snort coffee on occasions.............

I have my voice for the female Australian. She has issues with some American words. I love it

Mine ... she gets real aggravated and short sometimes and talking like she's mad at me or somebody else . I think she has serious hormonal issues at times. Last night she got real short with me again and I "cut her off". She'll come crawling back to me all sweet and crap and maybe I will, maybe I won't

Sounds like my ex when she's, well, you know. Sometimes mine corrects herself after giving the wrong directio, all in one breath! But I tolerate her anyway. :biggrin_2552:
