How?
I send in my original logs with the paperwork and now do not have duplicates. Only one set.
So, let us look at the law in respect to those that use DDL. They only print one copy. The are not in duplicate.
How about the EOBR, they are not in duplicate.
so, you think your safe with the elog and hos.

"Don't worry....Just go to sleep....It won't hurt....And when you wake up....You'll be one of 'us'..."
RedForeman Thanks this. -
So, you send the originals to the company and now only have the copy in your truck. The officer now seizes the log.
When they take the log, you are allowed to copy it. -
Like I stated before...My BIT inspector told me what I do is absolutely acceptable and not illegal....
And he knows a hell of lot more about the regs than the "Scale Whales" do.... -
You are not supposed to hand in originals with your paperwork until they are 8 days old. You can't have originals in your possesion that are more than 13 days old. -
-
They only time one is required to show beyond 8 days is....If one is getting a BIT done....And TTBOMK....Only Cali does this....
I doubt there is Coop anywhere that would require you to pull out a log from 6 months back.... -
I am referring to the 8 day comment. -
i see some saying about logging off duty when stuck in traffic. doesn't use up his hours.
the box i had. made you driving if that speedo jumped. there WAS no off duty stuck in traffic. eating up your hours was unavoidable.
you spend 3 hours trying to get out of los angeles or through chicago. that's 3 hours you lost.
