It states that they must be prepared in duplicate. It does not state that they must be retained in duplicate.

    The officer was wrong....

You should have taken his or her badge number and reported them....

Btw....I see crap like this in the coops...Drivers cowering to the DOT.....I'm not saying be disrespectful....I'm saying stand your ground....

The best example of this is when they pull you in for being "over-grossed" when you're not.....

I can't tell you how many times I see Steering Wheel Holders just shrug their shoulders and go "Oh...Ok....I'll take the citation...." :biggrin_25526:

Did you seriously just post that?

No wonder you're scared of e-logs if you can't even figure out how the 70 works.

    Repeat after me:

E-logs only record what happened. They don't tell you what to do.

Not only that...I'm the Carrier....So I don't need to send the original to myself....I already have it...

What I see is...Many a company driver or lease op thinking like company drivers or lease ops....Not as an O/O with their O/A....

Being a carrier is a world of difference.....

I understand that....But...Can you "Roll over" your hours on ELOGs?....

Because as I see it posted on this forum....
Drivers and Safety officers have said "We must take the '34' no matter what!!!"

    And...

Why the Hell should an O/O with their O/A be forced to spend the money to buy an EOBR in the first place?....
Why be independent if you can't be independent?.....

And I see that you have 2 years in the biz.....

Please excuse me for not taking you all that seriously.......

You haven't time in yet to really know what you're talking about....Only repeating what others have told you thus far...No offense....But that is how it is in this biz....
