no he's not a recruiter he is an actual driver. I will affirm his comments about the company. Not sure how the company trucks are?. As i'm leased to them and never set foot in one of the company trucks. But everything else is spot on. Hill bros does do some california freight out of port of oakland and some southern calif freight but not much.

Let's address Kona's claims.... 1) most of their fleet was not newer unless you had completed a lease and then ordered a new truck. When we got our truck 1st truck with them it cost us 10,000 with in the first week it was out on the road. The team that had turned it in complained about fumes coming in the cab and sleeper. Funny thing was the problem had never been addressed by the repair shop they simply cleaned it up and gave it to the next guy (being my husband) while he was in Arizona fumes started pouring in while my husband was going down the road and caused not only him but, both of my pets to get sick and then it was in the shop for #### near a week. When we first asked for maintenance records they said they would get them to us, when we asked again then it changed to we didn't have them we don't keep records on lease trucks! When we finally got into a different truck and talked to the owner he said he had requested that truck be sold from the fleet ages ago! 2) Let's address mileage while their mileage is decent it slowly dwindled so much so we were paying them to drive the truck! That should never happen we sat down multiple times with them to address that and they swore they would fix it maybe 1 week out of 4 we would see a paycheck not enough to support a family. While they are all very nice and courteous people their loads are short haul and unless you are pre planned back to back and they keep you that way you are hard pressed to make your miles and money. Now I will say there are some people that have been there for awhile and completed the lease successfully we tried to hold out because once we got a decent truck we didn't want to give it up but, it in the end it wasn't worth the sacrifice of being dead broke for the next 4 yrs. We are much happier where we are not we see a regular paycheck and it's not 100.00 here or there it's actually enough to live and pay our bills. Home timer if you were home for more than one day with Hills you were in the hole we always had issue with them getting us home even if we gave them plenty of notice. While I don't agree with Richard I think he is blowing smoke up peoples butts to earn the referral bonus, not everyone has had a good experience with Hill Bros and I think it's great you have but, anyone who tells you it's all good is. Usually lying a company is never 100% good there Are good points and bad points to all BEFORE YOU GO WITH ANY COMPANY YOU SHOULD ALWAYS RESEARCH every company has their good and bad points. ALWAYS TALK TO OTHER DRIVERS FACE TO FACE ask your questions when you talk to a recruiter ask all the necessary questions and write all the info down.

Had I didn't catch the flu then turned into respitory infection during orientation,I think I would have liked Hill Bros.Everyone was nice, had a beautiful spacious trk.Only thing I didn't like was the elogs because I couldn't get it figured out.Everytime I tried hitting a button it wouldn't go to the next page. Why can't anything be basic anymore.

Jenn317, you'll be happy to know that abbie is no longer with hill bros. Differing stories on that!. Maintenance records on lease trk's i'm not sure about. As my trk is not tied to or thru them. I do know they get maintenance records i have send them a maintenance record every month. I'm sure the shop has them. As for the trk you leased did you take it to an outside shop and have everything checked and documented and then have shop repair defecient items found?. They will do that i've heard. Sorry you've had a bad experience. As for my experience they're are some issues like drivers leaving trailers torn up and not reporting it to shop. Pure laziness on the drivers part. And yes like you said every company has there issues. Glad your doing better at your new carrier. And no i'm not after the recruitment bonus either. Happy trails

    Jason,
We tried when we took the truck to get fixed the shop would give us bs story so we took it to get fixed at home if there was something. We got sick of losing money to pay the hotels when he could sit at home for free. Oh we sent them maintenance records but, when you come across 3 sets of drivers or teams and they all said the same thing that truck was a mechanical disaster, they all reported the same thing and nothing got fixed there is an issue! We are much happier. We have had one neg check due to my daughter being in the hospital but, the next week it cleared that up and we paid for the week plus brought home money. I know you are not in it for the referral bonus but, sure seems like Richard is!
