I remembered seeing this and had forgotten. I'll give this week as an example. I got a load for 1250 miles. I picked it up last night and stayed at shipper. I've got 30.5 hours left on my 70 and nothing coming back until Thursday. I already know Wednesday will be a short day. So, in order to make sure I'll have something for Wednesday at least to start back, I'm due home Friday, I drove 8 hrs 13 minutes and had 28 minutes of on duty non driving time today. Pre trip and a fuel stop, did 500 miles, with about 750 more to go. I stopped with about 3 hrs drive time left. My next fuel stop is about 570 miles, and will put me around 180 miles from customer. I'll plan to stop there tomorrow, and will find out if I can deliver Tuesday, instead of Wednesday. I'll use more time tomorrow since I'm going through West Virginia and the mountains will slow me down. But I'll still have time left over, even if it's just a few hours.

Just curious, but does Roehl do any loads into/out of the Oil fields in North Dakota? Seems like there would be a lot of freight going there. Thanks.

I hope this will be something they will teach us all so we can make the most of our week while driving maximum time without having to do a restart in the middle of no-where, although that wouldn't always be a bad thing.Starting school at Roehl in Wisconsin May 5th.

Since I am a shipper/receiver right now, I know the importance of getting my shipment on time...the trucking company (not Roehl) that my company uses apparently hasn't gotten that part of the job down. Seems like they haven't been on time once in the last 4 months. I know as truck drivers there is equipment failure, weather delays, etc...but clear sunny skies...shouldn't be any problem except time management.Bayle Thanks this. -
So Dragonfly how'd the Cdl testing go....100%?!?!
