I wonder if it can be taken off or deactivated by ROEHL maint like they did when they took the governor of my current truck and set it back to factory specs.

Yep it's called "on-guard" in the frieghtliner I have a 13 cascadia with one.
everytime a car cuts me off I have to listen to it beep. Pretty annoying forsure -
I drive with it everyday and I can't stand the $&@$)() thing......it adds to the list of distractions I deal with and I wish I could just punch the thing because it beeps like a microwave open
it also has a "rollover stability recorder" that measures potential "rollover antigravity thresholds"
the he truck I was in, today I activated it and tommorow I will hear about it, going around a curve too fast -
Is it an external speaker or is it integrated into the factory speakers. If it was external you could put something around it like wool socks or something to muffle the sound.

The sensor is outside in front of your truck just cover the sensor with anything nd the screen will says sensor not reading and no more noise that's what i do
