Seen a few posts talking about the bendix system in the 2014 Prostars. What exactly is this?

It's an anti collision system that's a pain in the rear. It's got a radar thing on the front and beeps at you if you get to close to another vehicle in front of you. Also when using cruise control it will engage the jake, and or hit the brakes as well. It comes on the '13s as well.

I wonder if it can be taken off or deactivated by ROEHL maint like they did when they took the governor of my current truck and set it back to factory specs.

I don't know, but all the new shakers have it too. Not bendix another system, but does the same thing.

They won't do it. Just like they won't remove the BS timer on the inverters. Mine is so sensitive is goes crazy when a vehicle is in the lane next to me. A severe pain.

How long have you been leasing it? I will put my own inverter in it.

I drive with it everyday and I can't stand the $&@$)() thing......it adds to the list of distractions I deal with and I wish I could just punch the thing because it beeps like a microwave open

it also has a "rollover stability recorder" that measures potential "rollover antigravity thresholds"

the he truck I was in, today I activated it and tommorow I will hear about it, going around a curve too fast

Is it an external speaker or is it integrated into the factory speakers. If it was external you could put something around it like wool socks or something to muffle the sound.
