Well so far they have barely started loading trailer. This is gonna be a long day. Was told by dispatch I will be a work in at other pick up when ever I get there..... I wish I would have known this yesterday and I would have tried picking everything then. Today is turning out to be a major waste of time.

LoL yeah part of it is. Other half was Mann's. They only took 7 hours to do 13 pallets. I'm now waiting at Taylor. Even though it was supposed to have been done yesterday.

Ah yes, taylor! Last time I was there took 29 hours to get a door for 17 pallets of lettuce and was not told that it was by appointment only.

Yep they wouldn't give an appointment yesterday at all and now they are claiming that I was late for my pick up. Oh and whoever is in the office doing the check ins is a real dumb ###. He asked for my # and I asked which one he wanted truck or trailer number his response was how is that possible you can't have 2 different numbers. Wish I could've reached thru the phone and slapped him while saying you stupid mf each has their own number. Ohhhh I so have the bad feeling this is gonna be a long dog day.
drloveofdfw Thanks this. -
Ok I think the next time I see you you deserve to get punched. I am still sitting at this place 15 hrs later. I still haven't gotten my phone call to the dock yet. I had slept before I came over here. I am now thinking that was a mistake. :smt071drloveofdfw and tynodine Thank this. -
What a couple of days...
Got into Sapulpa early Friday morning to get some stuff taken care of. Snagged a fridge & met my new DM, then got a healthy stack of envelopes before heading to see our planner.
He was kind enough to yank our load and give us one heading back to Cali with a few drops in/around LA. <.<
Heading west on 40, some super-tanker thought he'd be cute and passed me, then slowed down. When I went to pass him back, he paced me for a few miles before passing me again.
While he was pacing me, I noticed I had more power on the hills (that's rare!), which was quite the advantage in the terrain we were driving over. I pulled a Ricky Bobby on him, snuggling up to his bumper until he hit a hill, then switching over to the passing lane as the hill slowed him down.
By the time he picked up speed again, I was within a truck length of the CR England truck in front of us, so he had to wait for me to pass. Unfortunately, my truck suddenly bogged down to a 62 mph max speed right as I got even with the England truck, and it took a while to get past it.
I noticed a line of cars behind the super tanker, so when we hit a hill, I punched the accelerator and got into the right lane so they could pass... then I passed another slow truck and my truck bogged down to 62 mph again for another 10 miles.
When I finally managed to pass that 2nd truck, super tanker had given up being a prick & stayed behind me.
Good times.tallinthesaddle4life and GabeScott Thank this.
