I know they're out there somewhere.
All I know of is those tanker drivers in North Dakota and those ice road truckers.
Is being in -40 and on ice roads the only way to make good money as a driver or is anything else out there?
What company & where can a driver earn 80K+ a year???

There are organizations based in Mexico that pay that much and more but the retirement plans suck big time. I doubt there are many if any oilfield drivers or ice road TV stars that make anywhere near $80k anyway.
RedRoadrager Thanks this. -
Mostly for water hauling in a tanker.
I'd do it in a heartbeat if I could work 7 months on and 5 months off... as in winter time lol. -

You can make good money at a lot of companies. Most other then oil patch will require very good diving/work record. N.o big gaps in employment. Clean cut. Low CSA points. Tanker/cryogenics/ few freight haulers/Over Dimensional etc. With less then a yr I wouldn't expect to land one unless you know someone there. But it's up to you. Keep plugging and keep clean and you will get a good driving job.

Driving for less than a year? Do people realize that you start at the bottom of the ladder and climb? I will never understand why people can just jump into a career and expect to make top dollar right out of the box. Yes there are some that are but you have to be willing to do what other people will not. Hence the demand and higher pay. Like working long hours and doing more than just driving and doing it in the heat of summer or the cold of winter. If you want to slam doors then you have to own the company.
