I just asking questions but you mean I'm going to have to do over the road for at least a year instead of regional or dedicated routes before I'm considered Ota experience
-
-
I will say a guy I worked with went straight from school to a local beer distributor making local deliveries. The only problem with that is if he later decides to spread his wings and go further out with another company then his local stuff will not count as OTR experience. -
Pull a tank you wont work hard and keep plenty money in the bank

But here is what the site says.

So teams can get Ota routes but what you are saying is most companies want you have over the road experience by going farther out in states to be considered experience. Who do you drive for anyways since I see you have your year in.
-
Most companies consider 5 or more states as OTR. I just looked and member here (Sluglife) went to Carolina Trucking Acadamy and then bused down to Memphis for his training. Maybe ask him who he signed on with as far as recruiters go.
But I believe they were under the impression you wanted to do training in nc which they don't do. But after your 3 weeks you can be based out of lenoir. Ozark is mostly regional but considered otr. You will primarily run the east coast which wasn't bad. -
