Well sir, Your numbers make your point, however like most things you post they are just made up in your head. And it is useless to debate that with you. When the restaurant industry without a TFW program still pays the same wages you wont have a leg to stand on. And if I am wrong, and they pay the wage you say this will force them to, you can go get yourself a burger flipping job and nice paper hat and cook me a burger.

Oh and my trucks are Blue.

Uh, er... ok. I hereby pronounce you to be The Guy Who Defended the Temporary Foreign Worker Program.

By the way, I think McDonald's CEO John "BS" Betts bears a striking resemblance to Ronald McDonald.

Sorry, that link does not work because the URL contains a word from John Betts not fit for the eyes of truck drivers. The news story cannot be linked to this discussion board but I think everyone in Canada has seen it.

Now if only they were to quit bringing truck drivers the wages would go up and some of the 110,000 CDL holders that have quit driving might come back and make a decent living. Oh, by the way, the numbers were openly discussed at the Alberta Trucking Assoc. convention in Banff.

I find it interesting that the numbers that the anti-tfw people use are always so set in stone. 110,000 drivers quit only because of the pay scale. 110,000 drivers would go back driving if the pay scale was raised. laughable theory pipeman. any one with experience in running a trucking company knows that money is only one reason that drivers move on and usually it`s a very easy excuse instead of : gee this #### is really tough to do,not like it I thought it would be ,or gee i`d rather be at home with my sweetie than out here. But it`s way more macho to use the money excuse. One thing that you should keep in mind is that just because they managed to get a license at a driver school does not make a cdl holder a truck driver.

lets be honest here- driving a rig is an easy job- it is by far the easiest job I ve ever had. Just sit down, go forward, don t hit anything- but it sure takes up most of your life unless you get really lucky- money is a secondary reason employees leave a company, treatment is the main reason. so, as we see in your posts sarcastic tone a failure to respect the driver, which goes far to tell why you experience a revolving door

I will not get into a debate with you or any one else who`s words show a complete misunderstanding of the whole trucking industry.
You are just another troll taking pot shots at real truckers. I read your other posts. Sad.

reply to snapdragon from a native canadian and taxpayer, before you judge a people spend a day in their shoes, I
for one never lived on the rez, never took a government handout that includes student loans, had a full time job since i was 14 when this guy got pushed into the real world. I got my class one through hard work and no goverment program, and when I applied for my first job i met alot of ppl like you with your outdated thinking. All i say to everybody who thinks being a native is so easy, try it for a day and see how being judged as lazy, living on handouts, and a drunk feels when you apply for a job.
