When I was at a trucking school they said the troopers set their radars at 15 above the speed limit. I typically will drive ten over on the interstate if my governed truck allows it. Doubles drivers seem to go extremely fast like they own the road. I always wonder why they never seem to get tickets.
What is the Max speed limit you can go over on an interstate?

Btw the answer is zero. You only can go the limit thats why its there. Troopers do not "set" there radars, they show current speed . You go one over yes they can ticket you.

depends on the state you are driving in. I drive 7-10 over in Ga.,Al.,Ms.,some parts of Tn.,Ky.,etc.I don't do the Northeast so i don't care.anyway,my answer is drive with traffic or stay in the far right lane.if you just got out of some driving school,i doubt that you'll be driving a truck in which you need to worry about speeding unless it is thru a construction zone or truck stop.
YES I think different state troopers or LEO's set their radar at different speeds.some may give you ten or a little more.get in the left lane only to pass and drive whatever your truck will do.75-77 is generally a good speed to run in a 70 mph zone. -
They can and will ticket you for as little as 1 mph over. Well, at least that's what a friend of a friend told me and she's related to an instructor who's married to a state trooper. Let us know how that 15 over works out for you. You might want to play it safe and keep your cruise set at 12 over.

"Professional Truck Drivers" driving 10 + over the limit is why so many companies govern their trucks. To save on fuel is of course another reason. But I've been told by at least 3 safety directors that drivers with no self control is the main reason. In MOST cases, 5 over is too much. Thats just from a safety viewpoint, not a legal one. From a legal viewpoint, like others have said, 1 over is too much.

I've never been bothered for running 75-77 in a 70, they want that big money, and generally won't even look twice as long as your not being stupid, you people worried that your gonna get a ticket for going a few mph over are being way too paranoid.. Construction zones and towns are another story, I make sure I'm at or under the limit then...
