Running with JCT, Part Deux

Had dinner yesterday with TrafficCtrl and and another JCT driver and his wife. We walked over to a mexican resturant that was really good. If you haven't had shrimp wrapped in bacon stuffed with cheese, you dont know what you are missing.

Still waiting for a load sitting here at the Loves in Ripon, CA.

 

Hmmm.. Finally getting this Mikes Lemonade off here in Golden Valley AZ. No preplan. Methinks there is a carrier bidding war going on for produce. I foresee running into Cali to pickup, assuming we can beat the bids from mom & pop carriers and amateurs like Celadon and Covenant.

 

Sitting here in line at the Beacon in Kingman, I smelled something horribly fishy. Looked up and sure enough Keith was rolling by on I40 stinking the place up. So I flipped him a bird. Now that he is west of Kingman, the stench has gone away.

Coincidence? I think not!

Was told to head to Phoenix asap by dispatch.

 

Finally got my next load. Picking up two stops on Salinas, CA and going to the Wal-Mart in New Caney, Tx. Then to the house.

 

Sitting here in Lordsburg, waiting for a team to come and swap me out. Was gonna be about 90 miles short of making OTD.

 

I was headed west into kingman and suddenly ran into foot deep bs all over the highway. Looked down and there was jarhead with his middle finger two knuckles deep in his nose. Got outta there quick.

 

Be prepared to sit for a while cause that sounds like where I just came from. Taylor Farms and Mann Packing. Make sure you know what times your appointments are. You can sit in the lot for Taylor check in while waiting on appointment. Taylor will only allpw you a 1 hr early check in though. Mann are a whole lot nicer. But they still make you wait. Was sitting there for both a total of 9 hrs this time past appointment at Taylor. Mann also gives you 2 or 2 1/2 hrs past appointment before making you reschedule. You can sneak around from lot to dock to dock. LMAO

Heading to Casa Grande to pickup for Winchester VA. Load appt is for 9am tomorrow, but Im getting loaded this afternoon. Im an a-hole like that.
