I would venture a guess that it depends on the reason for leaving to the charges imposed if any. Just to quit I bet they will charge but for unforeseen reasons or something you couldnt control I think there is wiggle room for them to make a decision whether or not to charge .

 

I also think that you will still get your last checks. If they decided to charge you anything they would send you a bill after you left.

you need to get the $4 pocket truck stop guide it lists all the truck stops along routes in each state
after that get your own gps it will tell you where truckstops are along route
also weight stations walmarts truck service etc
i find my laptop and gps vital to proper trip planning so to maximize your time

 

Wayne, this is the driver that had quit TransAm because he wasn't comfortable with the training period. I know he found another driving job and the last I heard he was doing well. He is a really nice guy and still gets on the forum on occasion.....maybe you could send him a message and ask how TransAm treated him when he left..... and if they sent him a bill.

Yeah I will have to do that, if it's just orientation pay and room that's fine I guess a small price to pay for going somewhere else and getting trained properly. Some people can pick it up and be ok going on the road fast. If I'm going to do this I want to do it right, I got caught up in just wanting my own truck and getting out here not realizing the consequences of my actions. You live and learn and I learned not to cut corners in this industry and do things the easy way.
