Funny you should ask, I did hear from him, he's worked it out with his wife and is raring to get back on the road. The only problem is I'm in Las Vegas headed to California, I won't be back until Tuesday, if he's lucky.

I'm here at the staging area for the Mirage in Vegas. This is about the fourth time I've ever done trade show deals. It's not too bad, just a pain in the rear finding out where to go. Dispatch had no phone number, and no help whatsoever. I finally called the main number and on the fifth breathing human found exactly where I had to go. Let me tell you, if you think some of these cities aren't big enough for these trucks, either is a hotel casino on the Vegas strip. I'm done, this took all of one hour. I'll leave here at 2am local time for the 3.5 hour drive down to Colton.
The Challenger and YardDart Thank this. -

I'm sitting in Wilmington, CA getting my load of hay unloaded. Made it here with 5 min. to spare. As an added bonus, they sweep out the trailer. My next pick up is 6 miles from here. Hopefully I will find a spot to park near there to tak my 10 and get loaded in the morning. I had a nice surprise on the way here this afternoon. I was on 15 south in Vegas and I happened to see an Abilene truck ahead of me. It was JohnBoy. Thanks again for the route tip this morning.

I got to the Colton yard at 8:30 this morning. As I was dropping my trailer, my reload info came across the Qualcomm. I had to hook to an empty dry van and go to Torrance to reload going to Monroe, NC for Tuesday at 7am. I had a choice of trailers to choose from so I hooked to the newest one there. The only issue was it was a mess on the inside, so I had to sweep 2 garbage bags of crap out of it and pull about 30 nails out of the floor. I left Colton at 9:30 am and it took me 2.5 hours to drive the 65 miles. Then it took the shipper about a half hour to load me and I was up at the Pilot in Hesperia at 2pm. I'm now at the Loves just east of Kingman AZ at the 59mm. I'll be up and rolling at 4am local time. Time for bed. God Bless and be safe!
The Challenger, Dinomite and YardDart Thank this. -
JB so far I've only had one trl that bad. I do have to sweep most of the empty trailers I hook to. Sweeping out trls is just like anything else wrong with trls. The steering wheel holders will leave it to a professional driver to correct anything wrong.
runningman0661, Skydiver, JohnBoy and 2 others Thank this. -
Hey now watch it. I try to leave 16 nails in each trailer as my signature...lol.
bigmikectn Thanks this. -
My signature is a spotless trailer with a big pile of nails just for you in the back left corner. You might want to straighten them out and build a bunk bed or something!!
Skydiver Thanks this. -
What, you want me to sweep them out???????? Dang, I knew I kept forgetting to do something!! JK. I always try to leave them like I'd want them left for me. But, I'm just a steering wheel holder!!!!
The Challenger, gntorres61 and JohnBoy Thank this.
