Your update would have been just as effective without the anti-union propaganda I find it very hard too see how you boys could know anything about.

First of all - it was a joke. Just because you didn't find it funny doesn't mean the rest of us didn't.

Second it ain't propaganda if it has a strong base in reality.

Third, not trying to pick a fight, just saying

Been union, and in more than one; hated it. The union idea was a good one when they first came about, but unions in general (yes, there are still a few good ones) have destroyed America's manufacturing and production community. Give me a non-union shop any day.

With Union membership hovering somewhere south of 7% it just seems they are still the first to get the blame for so many wrongs in our society. There are lazy people in all walks of life.I agree Unions have been all but washed up for 20 or more years, but how old were you all in the early to mid 90's. I raised 4 kids and put 2 of them through college plus my wife went to college for 7 years where she earned 2 degrees as well as a masters all while I was working my Union driving job. We bought a home and were actively involved as well as supported our local economy. All without a nickel of any kind of public assistance. I seriously doubt that would even be possible in today's trucking environment except in maybe less than 5% of the available possitions. The only driving positions I am aware of that have even come close too keeping up with the rates of inflation experienced the last couple decades just happen to be the UPS feeder drivers which so happen to be teamster jobs.
