I have never had a hand free / bluetooth set up. So is something from walmart or costco (bluetooth headset) going to work good enough? I will be driving a company truck otr. If that matters.

It shouldnt matter where you buy it. just buy one thats easy to use, so as not to distract from driving. also dont buy the cheapest thing without doing homework on it. I think alot are using Blue Parrot ? Not sure go to you tube, should be able to find out.

Blue parrot is horrible... noise cancelling is good and the person your talking to can hear you well but they use really sub par speakers in their headsets so its very hard to understand the person talking to you. The battery life is also terrible, I have to keep mine plugged in to use. I spent $100 on the 250 model and it is not worth the price. Do your research and find a good one.

get one from a truckstop that you see another trruck driver using

the ones in walmart tend to not have the noise cancellation feature that we need for our noisy toys

I use the blue tiger elite. Works very well and I only have to charge it once a week. Not cheap though.

I use the BlueParrott B250XT+. Nothing else I've ever used comes close. No idea what the battery life is, as I charge it every 3-4 days. It's the big one with the flashing blue light (which you can turn off) that you see about half of the truckers wearing.

Yup no issues with my blue parrot. Ive had it over 2 yrs. Battery still.last a couple days without charging. Ear pad is wearing out so I need to find a replacement. Ive been happy. I tried two others and returned them both within an hour of purchasing at the truck stop. Decided to just pay a little.more for the blue parrot

This. I've had mine for 2.5 years. I use it several times a day and never have any issues. I turn off the blinking blue light and the battery stays charged for almost 3 weeks. Will buy one again

Search for the Foam Refresher Kit at Amazon.
They used to sell it there.
