Well on the posive side Mack of Memphis fixed the truck the same day. The mech that worked on my truck was pretty good, he replaced the DPF filter and checked out the triggered codes and ended up replacing 2 sensors. the air temp sensor, and I forgot what the other one was. After he did that all the triggered codes went bye-bye. And he washed my truck! The truck is running much better now. The a/c problem was due to the low idle speed. A/C is super cold now.
04/30/14-I got an oil pump load from Lumpkin going to New Mexico to be delivered Friday morning. I had to use straps with the edge protectors. This wouldn't of been a problem if the wind wasn't blowing. I had to place the straps one at a time so I wouldn't have a whole bunch of straps flapping around the place. That long edge protector stick came in handy here. I'm doing my break in Tyler so that I can get up early enough to beat Dallas Traffic. I'm going to drive to Hobbs MN and then I'll have about 45 mins to drive to deliver my load friday morning.

05/02/14-Delivered the Oil pump in Livington NM. Then I went to Carlsbad to the salt mine where they canceled the load. Here it comes, the longest deadhead in my trucking history. I'm heading back to Lufkin Texas, to pick up a load going to Topeka Kansas to relay to another driver. I told my dispatcher that was 700 something miles to deadhead! He assured me that I will get paid for it. We shall see. Right now I'm doing my 10 in sweet water Texas. I found out from another driver that the Peoplenet e-log computer has a camera! It is located in the upper left corner. I was never told this in orientation. Even if the company doesn't use it they should tell people. I put I piece of tape on that. I maybe paranoid but a knowledgable person can tap into that system and watch you whenever they want and you wouldn't know because there is no visible indicator that the camera is on. Too much big brother.

It turns out that the PeopleNet computers don't have Cameras.I was concerned because The last I need to worry about is some nut hacking into a computer with a camera. Heck I put a tiny piece of tape on the built in camera on my laptop. I'm glad that was cleared up right away.

05/03/14-chillin in Lufkin texas. Load is not ready yet (shrugs), but the good thing about it is they have all the paperwork, so this is an actual load and not a "Ghost load". Truck is running much better. Unless the computer is lying, My MPG is 7.1 now! Bbbbut I deadheaded all those miles. I'll wait after a week of driving before I start trusting those numbers. The only thing I noticed is that it takes sometime (almost 10 mintues) for the battery to charge over 13 volts at idle. I have a feeling that something is up. I'mgoing to look at the battery tomorrow to make sure this isn't due to dirty loose connections.

05/05/14-Empty with a different trailer in Topeka Kansas. I relayed the oil pump load from Lufkin to a driver delivering it to ND. I most likely will get a load tomorrow. The truck is having some hard starts. After I had to stop at the weight station for DOT to check for "dyed fuel", It took about four times to get the truck started. I'm worried about this. I hope nothing bad will happen from now until I can get the truck to the humble yard to get looked at. I'm tired of dealing with Murphy! LoL.
