We keep our volume turned off. If not we get the stupid thing about the warning....
The "Trailer Trac" crap..... We get a "trailer disconnected" warning every 15 minutes or so....
That trailer Trac has never worked right for us on any of the 576### or 58#### trailers.

Hey just a word of warning for all central drivers incase you dont know already swift has taken it upon themselves to upgrade our phone system. So extentions will not work. Should send you to an available phone though. On a completly unrelated topic looks like i might get extra hometime, batteries have completly discharged. I didnt realize my pete didnt shut off stuff once the battery voltage gets to 12v and i am not hooked to any trailers atm either. I wonder just how long it would take to jump my pete with a honda accord......

Ugh... Why do they load the worst trailer available for our loads! Well that's the way it seems to me today... Yucky rail trailer!

I got stuck with a rail trailer for 3 loads one customer wouldnt let me live load unless i filled the thing up when i had it at half a tank for a reason. Had to ask for a manager before they would load me and explain why it was a bad idea to fill it up.

We are getting really disenchanted with Swiftral!! I could understand if we were company drivers, to mandate we come in for a 'class' and to take a "Swift University" thing on line... But you tell me (a contractor) that I have to sit though a propaganda class without any compensation besides the privilege of pulling their freight... Not looking real attractive now that we have options!! We now have over 3 years under our belt, are marketable AND have our tractor with we can take elsewhere and not bound to EIL or Swift!!

I am a contractor as well. I dont understand why i had to sit thru a 2 hour class of welcome to swift. Which made me late for a load. That turned out to be double dispatched. Man that week sucked ...........

Look into landstar ladyk. Especially if you and the hubby have the means of purchasing a cheap dry van.

Im thinking either a 53' step deck or a refer. Leaning more towards a refer....

Even a 48' spread axle would make you decent money. My uncle drives part time himself. Then has 2 drivers that work thru him with landstar. They do pretty well. Especially if you're good with the business side of things.
