This thread could also be called "West Sacramento commercial DMV sucks."
So I failed my last two test attempts (pretrip, then alley dock, not to belabor my point though), and of course each fail requires a rescheduling, and it's taken about 4 weeks to get retested each time previously. So, for what would officially be my 3rd attempt, I show up for my appointment at 9 am, only to be told by the woman behind the counter that I was actually scheduled for 8:30, so she handed me my license and cdl permit back and sent me on my way. I told her I was told 9 am but she didn't care. They don't care. And the thing is, they open at 7:30 and tests are scheduled 90 minutes apart, and they schedule drive tests starting at 7:30. So 9:00 would have been 90 minutes later.
There was evidently a breakdown in communication somewhere. Why wasn't my school nor I given any notice of this apparent change in appt. time? Total BS.
Which brings me to today. That was 6 WEEKS AGO. Still no test scheduled. Still sitting here twiddling my thumbs, unemployed. CDLC told me weeks ago the best they can do now would be to try to get me in for a test on "standby," where I show up 1st thing in the morning and sign in and they'd call my name if someone missed their appointment. Starting to wonder if it's ever gonna happen. Starting to wonder if my parents wasted 4 grand of their money. They told me the week before last that it would probably happen last week, then I was told last week that it might happen this week. When I called the end of last week, I was told he'd get back to me this week and that I'd be kept posted.
Are they jerking me around? Has anyone else dealt with this kind of thing?
Commercial Driver's Learning Ctr. of Sacramento letting me fall thru the cracks?

When you rescheduled they should have handed you a piece of paper with the date and time of your appointment printed on it. Go for the standby. It's better than nothing.

Most DMV employees are OK, but they do have their share of power hungry misfits.
Took my wife to DMV in Nashville for her automobile drivers license. They said they have to see her green card, birth certificate, marriage license. Had to drive 45 miles round trip to get our marriage license. Why would they want to see that anyway? When we returned, I noticed many that appeared to be from across the Southern border, were not being asked any questions or documentation at all. I asked why my wife had to show so much documentation and the other applicants aren't. I was told,"we aren't allowed to ask THEM." A few months later Tennessee DMV was busted for allowing bus loads of illegals from all over America to get TN drivers license with no documentation or questions asked. Once they received their license, they were bused back to the states they came from. -
Took my CDL there too, and I know one of them is an ######### i think his name is Gerald, white guy with no hair.
Did you try asking your school to schedule you somewhere else maybe in Modesto or Stockton? -

Yeah thats him, he was bragging to one of my classmates how he made $1 million dollars on trucking. I asked my classmate if he made $1 million why is he at the DMV make $15 an hour?
We found out that 90% of the students he takes fail because he wants 120% perfection on pretrip and driving. -
