Hey guys I had a question do companies take people who have earned there cdl by basically passing the written part then borrow a truck to take the driving part in have some trucking experience like a lil bit of driving but know what to look for like following distance checking mirror and doing pre trip and even know how to back and do some parallel parking and all that or should I just go to a trucking school and spend the money on doing that looking for some advice and what company's take cdl with out the school or experience

99 percent of companies won't hire you without formal training.
Community college CDL schools are the cheapest and just as good as private schools.
Trucking school should be a breeze for you since you're familiar with much of it already.

Millis Transfer in Burleson, TX has a pretty good deal for CDL school and a job.

WIA program is a good deal; if you're approved go for it.

While waiting for classes to start, study for all the endorsements and consider getting the TWIC card. Google will show where the nearest TWIC office is. All this will put you in a position for the better paying jobs. Top of this page, click on "CDL Practice Tests" for all the endorsement questions.

Go for that.. the companies that tell you they can get you a CDL without you spending thousands.. there's a caveat to that. Your repayment is in the form of an amount of time spent working for them. Now, you're not actually bound to the company, but if you leave before that specified time period, then they'll expect payment for the school.
    Stick with the WIA route.

That's high, I paid right around 4k after everything was said and done. If I wanted to drive an extra 20min each way I could have gone to a CC Class and spent almost half, which I kinda wish I did.
