Saw some clown with a similar train of thought as these guys doing 65+ through a 55mph construction zone last week in Texas, he #### near rolled over.
If I passed the same Prime truck 3 times....

Im glad you have it all figured out.. This has nothing to do with me but rather everybody who is put at risk because of Primes slow driving..my driving record speaks for itself and I've probably got more miles going in reverse than most people (including you) who have commented on this thread.... Do the math, 55mph average in 10 hours equals 550 miles verses 65 mph in 10 hours equals 650 miles...it doesn't matter if you make more or less money at this speed. What matters is safety and for those drivers commercial and non who don't pay attention to what's ahead and drive the speed limit, they are bound to hit the back of a Prime truck someday...is that their fault or Primes? By law it would probably be theirs but regardless, injuries and possibly deaths are still the net outcome...you guys are a safety hazard and will continue to be at this speed.. I'm not worried about myself hitting a Prime truck, I'm worried about everyone else...Prime was once (about 16 years ago) a halfway respected company... But it's no longer seen that way...go ahead and pile on me and everyone else who speaks from a point of reason, it makes no difference to me....keep towing the "I love Prime" banner around; after all, you're young in terms of the trucking industry and have much to learn....BTW, good fuel mpg isn't always about going slow.. It's about proper truck set-up. Something that is hard to come by with a fleece purchase cookie cutter truck program. -
Oh please the real reason these people are crying about Prime is because they can't do 55, and for the record. I very seldom run up on a 55mph prime truck. Not like I have a radar gun in my truck anyway. But when you get the prime trucks to do 65 are you going to get the military convoys, the people with the handicap sign in their windshield, the RV'er's, and the people who are texting or doing lord knows what else. While they drive down the road. Get out of here with that safety issue. Its only a safety issue for those who don't pay attention. Stop hating on those hard working individuals who are trying to get every dollar they can to feed their family. When you learn to slow down and enjoy the ride. That's when you have graduated from steering wheel holder, and that's when I may induct you into the Super Truckers hall of fame. Until then enjoy the Steering wheel holders hall of fame. How do you like those candy apples.

Working around Prime trucks during the day takes less energy and thought then signaling a lane change.

The only time a Prime truck passes me is if I am parked.

If taking ten seconds to pass me raises your hackles that much, you might consider an anger management course and a new profession.

Just food for thought. There is more to the speed/miles equation than speed x hours= miles. If you drive a 63 mph truck how much extra time do you spend per day doing less because of traffic? When you need to pass you can't just jump out in the left lane. You wait for traffic, and wait. So now you have traveled 3 miles below your max speed. How many times a day? With so many company trucks doing 62-64 mph it happens often.
Of course it doesn't matter to Prime, they pass no one.
