And using the Prepass figure of about $8 saved everytime you get a green light, how many traffic signals will get you on these routes?

I read on this post that SNI does not allow hands free headsets is this true
-
ummmmm......technically, no. Which is to say, don't have it on when you come into the centers (seen plenty that didn't even think that was a good idea). And don't answer the phone from them while you're moving (and they do know when, where, and how fast you're moving).
-
Hmmmmm
thats kinda a strange policy when the DOT even states you can use them . Just not a handset -
Seems over kill to me
-
I think it is another case off some bad drivers f****** it up for others by their stupid actions.mickimause Thanks this.
-
To it's strange because an IC is just that an independent contractor .
-
But you signed contract to haul there load. So your still required to follow the policy. Alot of carriers are going this route. Even using headset you are a distracted driver.
gentleroger Thanks this. -
I agree but that's taking it to the extremes over the DOT regulations and the only other company that has this policy is Walmart Private fleet but even they are allowed 60 minutes a day on a headset .
Now I agree with Texting , Talking on a handset -
Maybe I'm just whining but if you bring your own truck to a company and not leasing their equipment you should be held to DOT regs when it comes to communication issues such as a phone .
I just can't see drivers obeying that type of ruling on a O/O for the pleasure to be leased to a company.
I understand it's a choice and you can choose to go else where
