get ur own for a few hundred bucks takes 10 days
-
Well the authority is not the problem. The cost of insurance is the problem.
-
So you want someone else to pay your insurance?
-
No come on man.I was told if I can find someone to let me run under thier authority it would be a lot cheaper because they are established and have more than one truck running.Im looking for help not dumb comments .
tobie town trucker Thanks this. -
Each truck that gets leased on will have an insurance premium. Its not just a one payment covers a thousand trucks deal. Be prepared to give the carrier a portion of your earnings. You are better off getting your own authority.

Yes and each company has to state to their insurance company what kind of work they are doing, value of what they are hauling, etc. Example, the heavy haulers hauling multi million dollar pieces of machinery will pay a higher premium than the guy hauling groceries. Yours will also likely be high due to the nature of your work.
RedForeman Thanks this. -
Good luck finding someone willing to do this. We had a lease op for a total of three months and he trashed our CSA score. Never again.

Authority in 10 days doesn't exist... 30 days +/- a day....
GITRDUN45 and bullhaulerswife Thank this. -
We went the easy way out paid a lady in Little Rock to do ours. It was 1800 total, I don't remember how much of it was actual government fees. I felt she earned her part. Not to mention she new which states we needed the Interstate and Intrastate permits. We haul a lot of Intrastate loads in Texas, I had no clue some states had those rules. I coulda learned the hard way but I prefer the easy.
