Looking for a good crude hauling outfit in the Midland area. I have 2.5 years oilfield tanker experience. I've run kill trucks, hauled water, oil base mud. I just applied with Plains and Sunoco and I'm looking for tips on other companies with plenty of work right now. I'm looking for a 5/2, 5/3 rotation or similar. Need insurance within 30 days, and not interested in night shift. Thanks in advance.

I'm an O/O. If you came to me with a list of needs and interests like that I'd laugh at you. I would recommend Plains though.
-
Laugh all you like, I didn't just pull those out of thin air. I've seen those terms offered by more than one company. I'm no newbie to the patch, I've been here long enough to know what compromises I'm willing to make based on the best interests of myself and my family. You can feel free to accept whatever crappy deal comes your way.

They offered me a job back in September, but the compensation was pretty low for crude hauling.

Id try enterprise or sentinel too. Enterprise has a bunch of new trucks in their yard. Out of curiosity what was dorado paying?
-
I don't remember exactly, but I shared it with a couple crude haulers on this forum and they agreed it was low.
-
Sentinel has cameras in the truck. If yo u take a drink while driving they will let u know about it later. Had a buddy who worked there and they told him not to do that and drive. So every 5 minutes he would pull over set the brakes take a drink and then take off again . He quit shortly after

the cameras are on a 12 second loop. if you set off the sensor it sends 12 secs. (4 before and 8 after) to the data base for review.
