They deduct fuel, insurance, plates, fuel taxes, unauthorized tolls, and the truck payment (which includes your maintenance fund) You pay for prepass if you want it. Basically what you get paid on Friday is yours. Minus the government's cut.

OK people I talked to a recruiter and she said that I now have the required OTR that I need to become an IC. She said that I did not have to go the full year said the other person I talked to must have misinformed me. But anyways I was told that I could do orientation in Charlotte if I decided to go this route. Is that a good place to do orientation and can you get a truck out of there or is that in Green Bay?
Another question is what do they look for when you do the road test qualifications? I tend to get nervous and start freaking out so to speak when someone rides with me and worse if I know they are grading me?
I live outside of Roanoke Va. and was wondering if this is a good place for freight?
Thank you for the input. -

OK,, I need help.. Schneider approved for a 2015 EVO zero down or T680 with $5,000 down. Payments are @ the same for each. 1-5 year lease option available for the EVO and 2-5 years on the T680.
I have driven 2 Freightliners 2007 and 2012 and now in a 2014 Prostar. They are nice but the SNI EVO's are company spec trucks.... I just drove the T680 with air ride front axel and 13 speed. IT was so smooth and quiet. I am so used to bouncing in the seat on the highway ALL comments and ideas welcome -

Honestly, if you plan to buy the truck and pay it off, I'd stay away from anything but the Evo. I've been told by a couple guys driving the Kenworth that if they were to complete the lease then finance the remainder that it would cost upwards of $300,000 total, although I don't have any actual proof of that. It sounds about right though, since if I complete my lease and then finance it and buy it, even mine would be close to $190,000. I plan to keep re-leasing until I save up enough to grab a truck for cash somewhere or lease one that has much lower payments.
My bank has contacted me and asked me about refinancing my truck for lower payments and such... I haven't decided on that though, because I'm not sure I'd want to BUY my Evo. If I was going to go for something for the long haul, I'd want one specced much better.w.h.o Thanks this. -
Does your EVO have in cab 5th wheel release? Passenger air ride seat? XM radio with steering wheel cruise and radio controls? I know they do not have a fridge, Tripak or Disc brakes .. I was told they do have the EPU with park smart..

no xm in factory radio, no 5th wheel release, yes on air ride passenger seat no on fridge and park smart apu.
SmokinBoles Thanks this. -
I think I am leaning towards the T680 for the extras it has..I just need to verify that the T680 has stearing wheel controls, tripak, XM I know it has the air ride passenger and a fridge. I am running as a team for the first year Want as comfortable as possible..
