    Yes Sir !!! There would really be a big demand for drivers then. Maybe then the ones that could drive them could make big money. One thing for certain,there would be less texting driving a 5x4. LOL !!

    God, I hope not. Grabbing gears in a big rig is one of the most satisfying parts of the job. Dad taught me that when I was about knee high. If you can't operate a manual transmission, you shouldn't be anywhere near a CMV. The more control you have over the truck, the better.

    Well the Swifties have definitely proven they are not capable of steering and gearing at the same time. Good, they can stay at the training companies and those who can shift manually can take the good paying jobs.

    And everyone wonders why there seems to often times be such a rift between old/new drivers--maybe its just the wonderment we get when these types of announcements and blanket statements are made by newcomers--
    Besides when I started(back in the stoneage--lol) We were all gonna be flyin George Jetson freight saucers! And I was sposed to have my PERSONAL jet Pak years ago!
