You're right. I shouldn't give 'em any ideas.
I should charge 'em a king's ransom for ideas. :smt037

i know many believe "tin hat" nonsense
but think about the elogs, who would have believed anyone would accept that? i remember years ago, virtually every driver poopooed the idea (laughing at werner). elogs was supposed to be for the bad boys, now its up to be mandated for everyone
cams? now we have them facing the driver
technology aside, years ago, the mere thought of this would have been called tinfoil hat nonsense, but truth is, its a reality today
so what comes for tomorrow? -
I second that! If you guys that support the e logs so much then stand up in public in front of Congress and demand that an electronic chip be placed in your right hand.
That is if you have nothing to hide... -
I will post OOIDA'S number and a contact so they can arrange a congressional hearing so that you hard core e log supporters can stand before congress and the world and have a chip implant placed in your right hand.
I'm not joking either I have a few connections within OOIDA That would just love to meet you, please PM me so I can set this up. -
Dude I hate to snatch you back to reality but here's the problem with e logs.... They are not built upon sound science instead their foundation is political and profits and safety is secondary if that!
Each person is different when it comes to sleep and or bio rhythms this voodoo science the FMCSA and the DOT came up with is built with the mind set as to how to squeeze as much work out of the driver as one can without disturbing the status quo and or waking up the driver as to how much he is getting screwed with the current pay by mile system.
The real root causes of all these accidents is the way the driver is being paid and how much he is being paid as quite as its kept.
The drivers here should do the same thing as those in Europe did and shut the country down and force the system to pay by the hour and do away with the current corrupt system of pay by mile that forces drivers to run when they should be taking more time off at home and or in a motel.
You and I are getting screwed so bad till its beyond a joke it's absolutely hilarious to be honest with you.
One of the drivers came here and wrote into the truckers news paper and stated that it was so archaic and dangerous to be paid by the mile that he could not wait to get back to Europe.
I have spoken to many brainwashed drivers and used mathematics to show them how and when they are getting screwed and they seem to like bending over better?
The drivers in Europe are being paid by the hour as they ride down the road not just dock time from what I understand and we deserve the same amount of safety and or respect as far as the American working force that keeps America alive.
We are beyond vital my man we are to put it mildly a level of national security not just a water boy for the rich and I really hope you are not one of the brainwashed masses of drivers who listen to right-wing radio who believe the rich got rich by working hard as we do, that's a lie they in fact are rich today because they have been given the companies that dear ol dad gave em. Dart comes to mind and it's current owner.
These people fear a wide open system in which anyone can just go buy a truck and can take what they consider to be their freight and make a buck and so like little spoiled brats they run to Congress and bribe them to corrupt the system so that they win and the little guy looses.
If it's too hot in the kitchen (and by the way they are the ones who turned up the heat a long time ago demanding drivers to run over hours) they should get their proverbial fat ###'s out the kitchen!
Driver you may or may not be the next target when the so called sleep apnea rules kick in I don't know how fat you may or may not be but if you are well you and I can have a good ol time standing in the unemployment line in the name of safety of course... -
And speaking of the sleep apnea law they these fat boys are pushing, Have you guys ever seen the heads of these trucking companies??? Them boys are so fat that they look like they are gonna pop! I saw fat necks and possum belly CEO'S trying to tell me how to live my life in the name of safety of course. I'm sure they just had my best interest at heart... Yea right!

accidents caused by low pay?
they know this, but they wont raise the pay, so lets beat the drivers into submission with all sorts of new rules, regulations, monitoring apparatus, fines and penalties
lets come up with shenanigans like CSA, lets find some sheeple drivers to repeat the same nonsense and lets ostracize those who dare to resist and think for themselves
this is, by definition, tyranny, and yet it is fellow drivers repeating the lies
it is well known amongst the owners of the trucking industry to keep drivers hungry, let them beg for hometime, let them beg for miles, monitor their idle time, treat them like dumb mules, and whatever you do, dont let them make a decent salary
if most drivers made a decent salary they would go home more often, and stay until its time to pay some more bills, and that would mean more down time and hiring more drivers
but instead of letting them go home, pay them lowly wages (30cpm or close to it), and keep them running, after being out 5 weeks, only allow them three days home (you cant make money sitting home)
a hungry driver is a needy driver and a needy driver keeps driving that truck until he drops, so put him on ELOGS so the company cannot be blamed for him driving over hours, but do not let him go home -
And that is really what this is all about. Lawyers and insurance companies. It makes it much more difficult to level blame at the driver or carrier that is in compliance with an Elog in operation.
Regarding the black helicopter stuff and microchips being embedded. That is already reality. Animals have them, and it has been recommended by many law enforcement groups, doing it to children to help with abduction recovery.
Now all that being said, there is so much technology going on around us, that if anyone thinks that they can "stay under the radar" for any real length of time, they are delusional. Anyone, government or lawyer, who wants to find out where you have been and when you were there, can find it out pretty quickly. Unless you are living in a cabin in a remote part of the landscape and never drive anywhere, do you have any possible chance of avoiding anyone finding out your whereabouts. No one is actively watching, but when they decide that they need to find out where you have been, paper logs and other things will not help you one bit. It is virtually impossible to do any traveling, even only within a single town, and not have your whereabouts determined by some entity that wants to know. It may take them time to find it out, but they will. Technology information doubles every 2 years. That is a common understanding in technology circles. If you think for a minute that someone who really wants to burn you cannot find out where you have been because you use a paper log, you are very mistaken. The Elog does nothing more than log the data for you. No one is watching. It is a two edged sword, it can save your bacon or it can get you burned. But not using one and staying with paper is not going to help you. May take some entity a little longer to gather everything they need to burn your rear, but a well motivated entity will be able to do it.KANSAS TRANSIT, peterd and mattbnr Thank this. -
Perhaps if that "Living the dream driving a truck" was much more scrutinized and we had more professionals driving trucks....The wages would increase....Until then....
The Steering Wheel Holders are the ones getting those low paying "Dream jobs" at the Mega's....
